Oozing yeastly benevolence
This spring morn
As I sprang anon
Outta the bed
The roses were red
and thorns very few,
beaming at all
bemused at it all,
Had to do the world some good
broke into a song : Norwegian Wood
for the chin was dripping a familiar substance,
it was another attack of yeastly benevolence.
Knowing not the awaiting hiccup
my life was an aromatic tea-cup
ready for work, leapt into the motor car
started it rowdily, singing "I am the Czar"
outta my mind with this beastly joy
called the boss just to say 'howdy, boy"
in the mirthfull madness
winked at an old governess
her steely stare was of no avail
I forgot every tale of my travail
A beggar I gave a huge currency
he secretly thought it sheer lunacy
I kissed my old peon's hand
made him happy without a wand
my joy knew no bounds
I was a playful greyhound
I sang many a song
all ending in ding dong
twas fine till I saw my wife glare
my benevolence turned to despair.
Moral :
Whenever a man turns mundane
A woman keeps him sane.
